Why I Made My Own Website

Updated: May 23, 2018

Hi and welcome to my own space in the internet! I've always wanted to have one since 2013. I used to have my own blog in tumblr but eventually deleted it due to lack of time. This isn't going to be an "About Me" entry because there's already a place in my website for that (you can check it out here), so I'd rather answer the question "Why did I make my own website?".

As of the moment, I can't say I'm already an influencer because I only have 1000+ followers on each of my social media accounts, but I think this would be a good number of people for me to start sharing the things that I want to share and hopefully, expand these numbers so I can make a bigger impact.

I made my own website to be an influencer. And when I say "influencer", I don't refer to being popular, getting freebies, front seats to events, and etc. From the root word "influence", I would like to make an impact; to encourage and inspire people to join me in my journey of helping promote the local fashion industry most especially our indigenous textiles. And since this will be involving a lot of traveling, I will also be posting travel vlogs!

My advocacy requires a lot of field work so to sustain myself, I'm placing here my portfolio with the hopes of getting clients. As mentioned in my "About Me" section, I do fashion design and graphic design for a living. I also do basic photography and creative direction.

In my next blog entry, I will be sharing to you the back story of how I ended up doing this! For now, you can enjoy watching my old travel vlogs.

Don't forget to follow me on Facebook and Instagram and subscribe to my Youtube channel!
