I'm Yna: fashion designer, boudoir artist, and singer-songwriter based in Manila.
My fashion work is anchored in #DesignerWithAPurpose — a commitment to slow, intentional design that does more than clothe a body. I work almost exclusively with indigenous Filipino fabrics, and every collection I present is a way of telling the stories of the communities behind them. That work has taken me to major fashion shows across Metro Manila, and it's dressed artists who mean something to Filipino culture — SB19, ALAMAT, Benedix Ramos, and Karen Bordador, among others.
My boudoir work runs alongside that. As a regular-sized, close-to-plus-size woman, I don't shoot boudoir as an aesthetic exercise — I shoot it as an act of reclamation. I started because I needed to see myself differently. Not after losing weight. Not after feeling ready. Now. I do it to show other women the same thing.
My music is self-produced and self-written. My most personal work so far is Aria — a song about finding yourself, shot entirely underwater. Right now I perform at open mics around Manila. It's still small. It's still honest. That's exactly where I want to be.
